Shinkansen to Tokyo

*edit* Oh yeah, I forgot to mention a very interesting aspect about the shinkansen! (I was riding one again today up to Misawa at the very tip of Japan's main island for about 4 hours).

When going around curves, at speeds of 300KPH you would think that the force would knock everyone over or pin them up against the side of a train. This is solved by making the whole train tilt when going around curves. The centrifugal force keeps it feeling like gravity is roughly orthogonal to the ground of the train, making even the beverages completely undisturbed. It's really un-nerving because suddenly the landscape will tilt up or down around you but it will feel like you're going perfectly straight and perfectly level (they have it really fine-tuned to the speed/curve).
Take a look at the picture and you’ll see how the train is perfectly straight, but the horizon-line is all bent.

I got lots of Tokyo photographs, but I'm only gonna post some stuff from the train ride right now.

Hi, chris. This is hank, It's very beutiful there, in the land the rising sun. Thats nice, that at the of the video you show youself with alex. You must be having great time. Do you really want to feed erika's addiction? It might be(or going to be) hard to get together till, you get back. Because it will always relay on dax or erika, maybe sarah. They're not always free to get together, but who know's. I've only tried today(5/17). Their is still 2 weeks left(or so), something will problably happen(I hope). We should all go there together some time. And you problably are, but can you get me something nice there too. later

Ok. What's the top speed again, and what's it feel like at top speed when you're levatated? Also, how long does it take to brake, and how do they keep animals off of the tracks? Hi Alex.

I keep hoping that something awesome is going to happen in one of your train videos. Japanese movies and shows always have cool things happening in shinkansen. Like massive shootouts. Or perverts of both genders causing trouble. Or group suicides. Or... actually, those are all pretty bad things. Hm. Never mind. I guess it's good nothing unusual has happened. :/

I was starting to think you had actually passed through Kyoto without so much as contacting Alex, seeing as she did not appear in any of the pictures. This video tells me otherwise.
